About Chapel Kitchens
We established Chapel Kitchens and Furniture in 1998, first designing and building our products in a small workshop and shopfront on Fishergate in the beautiful city of York. As our business grew, we moved to our current location in the picturesque village of Nun Monkton. It is here, on a farm, that we have our Showroom, design office and workshop, where all our furniture is made. Watching the backdrop of the North Yorkshire countryside transform with the seasons provides inspiration to our designer and team of artisan craftsmen.
Our kitchen design and build philosophy is inspired by “The Shakers” who believed that every object in the home should have a function and that decoration was unnecessary. We at Chapel Kitchens and furniture have taken these simple rules to heart and everything we design is form following function. We offer truly beautiful bespoke products made in the traditional manner by Artisan Craftsmen and Craftswomen.
